You would think that most of us would to know better than to try to text when we drive. But even though most of us know the dangers, it does not prevent us from reaching for our phones to send a quick text back to someone if they have sent us a text. Maybe we feel that on this occasion it is an emergency and that the text is justified; the problem is that doing this will be putting our lives in danger. However now there is a new device available which will let people know that we have received their text so that we don’t have to reply. We can just relax and focus on our driving and know that are texts are being taken care of.

This new device by LocationLabs is called the DriveSmart Plus and it works on all T-Mobile networks. It is a subscription based service that detects when you are driving and during this period blocks you from texting and receiving texts while you are driving. Calls to your mobile while you are driving will be directed to your voicemail. The good thing however, is that the caller is informed that you cannot take the call at that time but that you will get back to them. You don’t have to worry about a thing.

This device is something that most of us could benefit from and the best thing about it is the fact that it could really save lives. We all know that any distraction while we are driving puts our life at risk, but hopefully this new device will at least stop one type of distraction. We might even see a hands free way to text in the future as technology improves. Thankfully until that happes the DriveSmart Plus should keep us safe.
