Varying skins, skills, health and movement ability, there are currently 9 classes for Team Fortress 2. From its large community, like with CSS servers, Team Fortress 2 has a huge array of custom maps and mods. It is two years since Team Fortress 2 game servers first came out, and its as popular as it has ever been.
With three sub classes for support, defense and offense, Team Fortress 2 servers have 9 different classes in total. Though you don’t have to play these exact roles, they are set to give the best balance.
Without an effective defence, you will lose on Team Fortress 2 servers. It is vital that you have people at your back line to stop that sneaky scout from getting through.
Without a proper gun you have to be skilled at this class to know how to play indirectly unless you like using the bottle to melee with. Using the games engine and physics to his advantage, he can take out enemies very effectively. The grenade launcher is extremely strong and can take our classes with small healths with just a couple of hits. The grenade launcher is also great for taking sentry guns that are around tight corners with relative ease. The sticky grenades work like proximity mines and so are great for laying as traps near intelligence or control points and tight choke points. Simply lay a few sticky grenades and watch the kills roll in. Try this class if you are awful at aiming, but like explosions!
The Heavy is our next class. This guy really packs a punch. His high health and most powerful gun makes up for the fact he’s the slowest of all the classes. He’ll take down the other classes very quickly. The only thing he struggles is if he meets his opposite number from the other team. With his large range, he can take on lots of enemies at the same time. However his minigun does take a while to rev up. Don’t expect to move far once you have got it going as you will be slower than your gran with a Zimmer frame!! These guys work well when placed with someone else to help draw fire away from them so they can just concentrate with mowing people down. If you want to make an impression on game servers, pick this guy!
The engineer would normally only fire when being attacked directly. He should maintain and deploy buildings for his team/ They are best known for their sentry guns which are automated turrets which can be upgraded by whacking them with the wrench. To do this, the engineer has to collect metal from round the map. Dispensers placed round the map are also used to re-supply players. Teleports are an excellent way of moving players from one part of the map to another. A hidden spot near the enemy base is always a good position. They aren’t so tough unfortunately when it comes to a straight fight. However with their turrets they are capable at medium range and normally stick in cover. If you like turrets and building, the engineer is for you.
